Helping People Discover the Natural World
My name is Joel Hunt, and I have spent more than 35 years helping people connect with nature through education, conservation, and outdoor exploration.
As a lifelong naturalist, educator, and conservation professional, I believe that every person—regardless of age or experience—can develop a deeper appreciation for the natural world. Whether we’re identifying wildlife signs on a forest trail, building bluebird nest boxes, exploring vernal pools, or creating habitat for pollinators, my goal is to make nature engaging, accessible, and memorable.

Throughout my career, I have worked in conservation, habitat management, environmental education, and public outreach. I served as Program Administrator for Ohio’s nationally recognized roadside pollinator habitat program, helping transform thousands of acres of public land into valuable habitat for pollinators and other wildlife.
My work has been recognized at the state and national levels, and I was honored to receive Employee of the Year recognition for my contributions to conservation and public service.
